This unification aims to constitute a guide for the choice and ordering of the automatic regulation equipment for steam generators and the measuring instruments connected to it or in any case necessary for the operation of the system; in fact, it is not possible to precisely regulate the relationships between client and supplier mainly because the various systems differ significantly from each other in terms of construction characteristics and operating requirements. 2 This unification also has the aim of recommending a setting of relationships between clients, suppliers of such equipment and manufacturers of steam generators, of their auxiliaries and of other parts of the plant. ? in general it is necessary for the system designer to consult all the interested manufacturers from the beginning, in order to coordinate the characteristics of the individual parts of the system. 3 The standards make particular reference to steam generators of medium capacity, normally including, in addition to the boiler itself, the superheater, the economiser, the air pre-heater and the auxiliaries, with a capacity of approximately between 10 and 100 t/h of steam. 4 For the nomenclature relating to regulation systems, see UNI…..(in preparation).
