These requirements cover electric commercial, industrial, and institutional clothes-washing equipment intended for use in accordance with the National Electrical Code. Equipment covered by this Standard is not intended for use by the general public, but only by trained or supervised personnel. Appliances and field-attached accessories are investigated under these requirements and under such additional requirements as are applicable to the appliance under consideration.
