This Singapore Standard applies to pressed steel sectional rectangular tanks, working under a pressure not greater than the static head corresponding to the depth of the tank, built up of pressed steel plates 4 f t (1.22 m) square, to contain cold water, hot water, potable liquid, certain oils and chemicals, and of the following types:
Type A — Tanks with external flanges:
(1) Open top
(2) Closed top
Type B — Tanks with all flanges internal:
(1) Open top
(2) Closed top
Type C — Tanks with internal bottom flanges, external side and end flanges:
(1) Open top
(2) Closed top
