This Singapore Standard describes a range of methods of testing flexible plastic packaging materials. It provides a rationalised collection of test methods for testing flexible plastic packaging films. For particular materials, some variation in a method may be necessary and details of the variation are to be stated in the materials or product or procedure, where this exists. The variations should also be referred to, or detailed, in the test report.
In cases where special precautions in sampling are needed to ensure that the test pieces adequately represent the product or material in bulk, a sampling procedure is normally specified and this will be the subject of agreement between the buyer and manufacturer to cater for consumer demands.
This Standard was prepared by the Technical Committee for Methods of Test on Flexible Plastic Packaging Materials under the authority of the Packaging Materials Product Standards Committee.
