Scope

This Standard lays down requirements regarding materials, workmanship, finish and performance of industrial safety helmets for protection against falling objects and other hazards which may be encountered in mining, tunnelling, quarrying, shipbuilding, steel mills, construction, building projects and other similar occupations. Appendix I sets out the recommended practice for care and maintenance of industrial safety helmets.
