This colour atlas contains 1526 systematically arranged colour samples and illustrates the standard colour notation system. The samples are of paper coated with an opaque semi-matt en-amel paint. The number of colour samples on the various sheets is given in table 1.
Sheet 2 contains colour samples of high chromaticness, one from each of the 40 symmetrically hues in the atlas.
Sheets 3-42 contain colour samples the positions of which in the respective colour triangles correspond to their notations. These colour samples illustrate the relationship between colours with-in each of the 40 selected hues.
Sheet 43 presents five series of grey colour samples, one series of pure greys (c = 0) and four of slightly chromatic greys (c = 2). For the pure grey colours the NCS (Natural Colour System) lightness values are specified.
