This standard complies, in its main features, with document ECE TRANS/279 add. 2, drawn up by the Inland Transport Committee of the Economic Commission for Europé, and with ISO/TC 94, 69 that was drawn up by the International Organization for Standardization. How-ever, requirements for a dynamic test have been added.
This standard applies to safety belts anchored to the structure of the vehicle and intended for use by drivers and adult passengersin for-ward-facing seats in passenger cars and similar vehicles. Certain parts of this standard may also be applied to safety belts for other ty-pes of vehicles.
Test methods for safety belts are presented in SIS 88 28 52.
