This standard specifies routine test procedures for testing the performance characteristics of filter elements. It is used to test the hydraulic, mechanical and filtration characteristics of filter elements. This standard is not applicable to the qualification verification of filter elements with special requirements or specific working conditions. If these verifications are to be carried out, special test procedures need to be developed, including actual use conditions (such as working fluids). The test procedures specified in this standard are applicable to hydraulic oils or liquids with similar chemical properties.
