These standards apply to colours and symbols for push-buttons for starting and stopping electric motors, as well as to position-indicating flags and lamps for electrical installations.
No te 1 In case operation or indication of position is obtained by means of an auxilia-ry circuit, the colours and symbols of the operating and indicating de vice s shall show the state of the ma in circuit.
Note 2 The terms start-button and stop-button apply to such push-buttons that are designed to start and stop electric motors. However, these standards can also be applied to push-buttons for switching on and off other electrical equipment.
