This International Standard specifies the essential dimensionai characteristics necessary for the interchangeability of filter elements for full flow oil filters generally used in road vehicles.
Most filter elements are specified with two alternative internal diameters, D2; however, the values listed in the "preferred" column of the table are recommended for future equipment.
This International Standard may be used for other oil filter applications where no specific standard exists.
