1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements for the commonly used types of Writing Paper and Printing Paper.
1.1 Definition.—The term " Writing and Printing Papers " covers the grades of papers used for writing by hand with pencil or ink, for typewriting and all sorts of printing works includ ing papers used for making envelopes and covers which sub sequently undergo writing or printing. The definitions of the common qualities manufactured and used in the country are given in APPENDIX 'A'.
