Scope

This standard applies to commercial hard-draw aluminium electrical conductor wire, before stranding . Note : Commercial hard-drawn electrical coductor wire has a tensile strength depending in particular upon its final size and the amount of cold work. The values of physical properties given below are applicable only to wire having a tensile strength not less than 15 kg/mm?. (21335 lb/in2).
