Scope

1. This standard specification establishes the requirements for carbon paper for use in regular and electric typewriters, and for carbon paper for making carbon copies using a pencil in making the original copy. The standards specification applies to the following types and classes of carbon paper: Type I—Typewriter carbon paper Class 1 -Heavy weight (billing) Class 2 - Medium weight (standard weight) Class 3 - Light weight Class 4 - Feather weight Type II—Pencil carbon paper Class 1 - Medium weight Class 2 - Light weight.
