This Standard specifies a general method for the spectrophotometric determination of titanium in aluminum and aluminum alloys. The method is applicable to products with a titanium content between 0.005 and 0.3% (m/m). This method is however, not fully applicable to alloys with a silicon content greater than 1% (m/m) for which it must be modified as indicated in the appendix.
