1.1 The purpose of this standard is to regularize the marketing of raw cotton, harvested by hand and machine, according to its quality. 1.2 For the purposes of this standard there will be two sets of patterns: a) One for hand-picked cotton and b) Another for machine-picked cotton. 1.3 All raw cotton harvested by hand and machine will be classified in accordance with the official Venezuelan standards for raw cotton, -harvested by hand and machine, prepared by the -Cotton Development Fund; The originals of these patterns will be kept at the central headquarters of that Organization.
