This standard describes two methods for taking samples from a batch of paper or cardboard. Method A, the is method, is useful for obtaining a representative sample for research purposes where maximum deviation and ris are not taken into account. Method B is useful for obtaining a representative sample for research purposes where the value of a quantity must be determined with a predetermined accuracy. Method B assumes that the party has a normal dis ribution. Initially it will be sufficient to work according to method A. However, in cases where special requirements are imposed on accuracy, method B applies.
