The standard applies to the examination of products obtained from vegetables or fruit. The described method can be used at mois ure contents of 10% or lower. The method does not provide reliable results if the product to be tested contains many certain volatile substances or if it contains other components from which water is separated under the conditions of the test (eg if a lot of fructose is present).
