The standard applies to the construction of steel ship structures, regardless of the qualities of shipbuilding steel used. When drawing up the standard, no account was taken of the special requirements imposed on naval vessels. In the event of differences in interpretation between the Dutch and Englis texts of this standard, the Dutch text shall prevail.
