This standard specifies the arrangement for the drawing part of keyboards, the keys of which are placed in a grid. The ranking is intended for Dutch keyboards of typewriters and data processing equipment, which are operated with two hands. The standard determines the location of the keys with the associated characters and function symbols. Spaces between keys, shape and size of keys, as well as the slope of keyboards and the way in which characters and symbols are dis layed on the keys, are not taken into account. Defining 2 characters per key makes the toggle key an integral part of such a keyboard. Since a space is considered a character, the same goes for the space bar.
