This standard specifies the dimensions, material, design and application of lightweight tension bushings. They are capable of absorbing shear forces and are intended to be used as a means of connecting two or more parts. In screw connections they can be used to prevent the parts to be connected from shifting relative to each other, without the need for high pre-tension in the screw connection.
