This standard specifies requirements and test methods for solid rubber rings intended for connections in pipes for the transport of drinking water or waste water. These connections include both those between pipes themselves and those between pipes and fittings. The standard does not cover special provis ons for rubber rings such as a hard nose or a hard base layer.
