This standard specifies requirements for round wooden piles made from the European softwood species spruce, larch and Douglas fir, intended for use in, among other things, residential construction, non-residential construction and road and hydraulic engineering. An appendix not part of the standard text provides additional information regarding physical properties, durability and commercial sizes.
