Scope

This standard establis es the methods and means for the verification of manometers, vacuum gauges and manovacuometers, elastic deformation, indicators, working, hereinafter instruments, with a measurement range between -0.1 and 250 MPa (-1 and 2 500 kgf/cm2), class from 0.4 to 4, both inclusive, which are used for measuring relative pressures in liquids, gases and vapors. This standard is also applicable for instruments that also have complementary devices, such as: two needles (double instruments) transmis ion mechanis immersed in liquid maximum needle This standard is not applicable for instruments with a measurement interval with a smaller amplitude than 60 kPa (0.6 kgf/cm2), differential instruments, instruments for measuring tire pressure, or instruments for measuring dynamic pressure.
