This standard establis es the dimensions of the different types of Gauges that are used in the exploitation and operation of Public or Industrial Service railway networks with a normal track width of 1,435 mm, as well as the rules of use. It applies to new construction projects, reconstructions, repairs and normal maintenance of railway tracks; as well as the buildings and facilities close to them and the railway rolling equipment that circulates through them.
