Scope

This standard establis es the methods for the determination of the test pieces and the selection of the samples for the determination of the chemical composition of the filler metal. This standard is only extensive to metals that are provided by manual arc welding, using metal electrodes coated with carbon and low alloy steel for welding and filling, which have a tensile strength between 430 and 830 MPa.
