Scope

This standard establis es the precis on for determining the mass of oil and its liquid derivatives, hereinafter oil, contained in vertical cylindrical containers with fixed roofs, hereinafter container. The standard does not apply to oil contained in containers with a capacity of less than 100 m3, or containers with a pressure (in the space not occupied by the liquid) greater than 2 kPa and an absolute pressure of 0.25 kPa. The standard can be applied to other types of containers, as long as the specifications establis ed therein are met.
