Scope

This standard establis es the classification of railway rolling equipment (traction and hauling) according to the forces transmitted to the railway track on which they circulate. It is applied to determine the railway rolling equipment that can circulate safely on the different types of track superstructure according to their technical state for the entire railway branch.
