This document establis es a preliminary classification of the chemical resis ance of low density polyethylene to approximately 180 fluids. It is intended to provide general instructions on the possible use of low density polyethylene tubing for the transport of fluids. — at temperatures up to 20 °C and 60 °C, — in the absence of internal pressure and external mechanical stress (e.g. bending stress, stress due to earth pressure and rolling loads).
