This International Standard establis es the minimum internal dimensions of series 1 general purpose containers (designated 1 A, 1 AA, 1 B, 1 BB, 1 C, 1 CC, 1 D, 1 E and 1 F in the is 668) and applies to closed containers, type 00, mentioned in is 1496/1. It also applies to certain minimum internal dimensions of containers type 02, 03, 01 and 04 of is 1496/1. NOTE — For other types of containers (e.g. insulated, bulk cargo, air transport), minimum internal dimensions are specified in parts II to VII of is 1496.
