The method is applicable to inorganic chemicals for industrial use. It allows the determination of quantities of chlorides (CM greater than 1 mg in the test portion, with an absolute error of the order of 0.2 to 0.5 mg depending on the concentration of the titrated solution used. The dosage is not interfered with by the elements or compounds lis ed in Annex A, when present at the limits indicated. In certain cases, this Annex gives guidance on the treatment to be applied to reduce or eliminate interference.
