This standard specifies the raw material, the main dimensions and their tolerances, the quality criteria and the marking of - double PVC-U couplings with elastomer sealing ring, - other PVC-U fittings with socket ( s) with elastomer sealing ring for pressure pipes. The fittings mentioned above are intended for the assembly of PVC-U tubes meeting NBN T 42-110 and NBN T 42-111. This standard is applicable to injected fittings and fittings made from extruded tubes. For the connection of PVC tubes intended for the transport of drinking water according to NBN T 42-111, only double sleeves turned outside extruded monolithic tubes can be used. In the appendix to this standard is given, by way of example, the complete rating (including that of the ring) of a type of double sleeve turned outside of an extruded monolithic tube, frequently used by water dis ribution companies.
