This standard describes the method of determining by sieving the particle size composition of crushed stones and gravel, mixed or not with elements passing through a 2 mm sieve. It explains how to express the results and represent them graphically. It applies to crushed gravel and slag as well as rolled gravel. It does not apply to aggregates containing mainly only elements passing a 2 mm sieve nor to those rejected by a 125 mm sieve.
