This standard sets the dimensional characteris ics of thin parallel keys and specifies the method of designation and the material of these keys. The dimensions of the corresponding grooves in the shaft and the hub, as well as the relationship to be respected between the shaft diameter and the key section, are given in standard NBN E 27 - 709 — Keying using thin parallel keys.
