Scope

The purpose of this standard is to set the minimum conditions which must be met by the design, construction and layout of medium-sized buildings, in order to: a) prevent the birth, development and spread of a fire; b) ensure the safety of occupants; c) to facilitate the intervention of fire services. This standard is applicable without prejudice to exis ing legal provis ons in this area.
