Scope
The purpose of this standard is to provide the means for producing, from pure gases, binary mixtures of gases for calibration whose relative precis on on the concentration value of each of the constituents is approximately 0.5% for a range of concentrations between 1 and 99% {V/V). This precis on is only fixed by the current possibilities of calibration methods for low gas flow rates. Concentrations of up to 0.1% (V/V) can be obtained using two dosing pumps arranged in series. Likewis , by arranging 2 or a maximum of 3 pumps in series, mixtures of 3 or a maximum of 4 components can be produced. In these two cases, the relative precis on on the value of the concentration of a component of the mixture obtained is equal to as many times 0.5% as there are dosing pumps crossed successively by this component.
