This International Standard specifies the location and dimensions of the following inscriptions which must appear on Series 1 containers: a) the owner code; b) the serial number and the self-check character; c) country code; (d) size and type code; e) the maximum gross mass, and the tare. It complements is 2716, which specifies, in detail, the marking codes for owner code, serial number, country code, dimension code and type.
