This International Standard specifies a method for determining dis illation characteris ics, applicable to automotive gasoline, aviation gasoline, aircraft turbine fuels, gasolines with a special boiling point, naphthas, kerosene , kerosene, gas oil, dis illates and similar petroleum products. NOTE — With regard to the dis illation of aircraft turbine fuels and other products having a dis illation interval such that the low temperature thermometer specified in Group 3 of Table 1 cannot be used, this method may still can even be applied by replacing the low temperature thermometer with the high temperature thermometer while retaining the other test conditions relating to group 3 (see 8.3).
