This standard describes a procedure for determining the torsional modulus of glass fiber reinforced plastics. This standard is strictly valid only for reinforced plates that are symmetrical in relation to the thickness and provided that the main axes of the material coincide with those of the specimen. For non-symmetrical laminates, the measurement method is still applicable but the accuracy of the results must be considered with caution.
