This International Standard applies to technical sodium alkyraryl sulfonates in paste or powder, free from any product foreign to their manufacture, with the exception of sodium alkylbenzene sulfonates. It does not apply to liquid products, because these most often contain either solvents or adjuvants, or both, which interfere with the analysis establis ed by this International Standard.
