This standard characterizes the is metric triangular thread tolerance system. It also gives the tolerances and limit dimensions for threads whose diameter-pitch combination is indicated as preferential in NBN E 03-003 (tables 2 and 3) and having a normal engagement length. It complies with is 965/1 - 2 and 3 standards, although the latter two only give deviations instead of dimension limits and tolerances. It applies to single threads and multiple threads subject to adopting for the quantity P respectively the value of the helical pitch or the value of the profile pitch.
