This standard is applicable in conjunction with the Belgian standards relating to “Quality Assurance”. Furthermore, reference may be made to this standard in contracts and in various other documents, for which a reference to a measurement and calibration system may be of importance, such as in purchase orders, product standards or process specifications or technical regulations. The standard can also serve as a basis for evaluating a measurement and calibration system. The evaluation may possibly precede the conclusion of a contract and be carried out by a potential buyer or his representative (*).
