This standard describes a static method for the preparation of calibration gas mixtures using plastic bags. By this method, concentrations between 10-7 and 10~3 (by volume) can be prepared; in this range, the relative deviation of achievement is 3 to 5%. The method is only applicable to products which are gaseous at normal temperature and pressure. The gases used cannot react with each other or with the walls of the bag.
