The purpose of the impact bending tests after aging is to measure the resilience property of a steel altered by mechanical and thermal treatment. This measurement depends considerably on the treatments applied and the test conditions. These must therefore necessarily be chosen according to the goals pursued. The two tests proposed below consis of determining the resilience of the steel on a specimen with a U-notch with a depth of 5 mm, work hardened by 10% by crushing or traction and artificially aged at 250°C.
