This standard specifies the raw material, dimensions, tolerances, quality criteria and marking of polyethylene tubes used for the dis ribution of natural gas under a maximum pressure of 5 bar and at a temperature up to 20°C. In principle, the tubes are buried, but they can also be laid in the open air, subject to special precautions. Note - The tubes must be installed and assembled according to the rules of good practice (see NBN T 42-..., NBN T 42-... and NBN T 42-...).
