This standard defines the basic dimensions and the operating and resis ance conditions of the corner parts of containers 1 A, 1 B, 1 C and 1 D of series 1 (defined by standard NBN 821-01). The NBN 821 -02 standard specifies the service conditions as well as the specifications and tests to which series 1 containers must be subjected before being put into operation. Compliance with this standard allows containers to cope with the operational demands they encounter and ensures absolute interchangeability of containers with each other with regard to handling equipment and securing devices on different transport vehicles.
