This standard describes two methods for the determination of the anhydrous smoke condensate of cigarettes after mechanical smoking. In the first method, the water content of raw cigarette condensate is determined by the Karl Fis her method. The second method is a determination by gas chromatography. Both methods are applicable when determining the anhydrous condensate of all mechanically manufactured cigarettes intended for consumption.
