This standard describes the method of determining by sieving the particle size composition of construction sands defined in NBN B 11-011. It presents an alternative for the determination of the fines content. In the event of a dis ute, the method with fines recovery is the reference method. It explains how to express the results and represent them graphically. Appendices A and B present working forms. The results of the particle size separation are expressed in mass, this method is not applicable to mixtures made up of materials having significantly different actual densities.
