The standard is divided into three parts, respectively: 1st part: the method of identifying the electrodes and their abbreviated designation using symbols, 2nd part: the description of the test methods to be used for identification and acceptance electrodes, 3rd part: the technical conditions for manufacturing and delivery of the electrodes and the characteris ics set for their reception. The project owner or the buyer, as the case may be, may fix in particular specifications among the tests described in this standard, those which are to be carried out for each type and each diameter of electrode. “Acceptance tests” means the program of tests intended to verify the conformity of successive supplies with this standard. These tests do not necessarily give any particular guarantees on the qualification of the product for specific applications.
