This standard specifies a method for determining the various yields and the deposition coefficient of electrodes with a diameter of 3.15 to 6.3 mm*, depositing high strength carbon or low alloy steel. For the practical use of this standard, the measurement accuracy specified is sufficient, due to the inherent variation in the characteris ics of each electrode. Chapter 4 specifies the recording of a number of different values. However, only the values necessary to calculate the particular factors to be determined are to be measured.
