This standard establis es the classification and gives the lis of equivalent terms in French, Dutch, Englis and German, of weaving machines used in the textile industry for the manufacture of fabrics by the technique weaving, that is to say by the interweaving of two (or more) systems of parallel threads, as well as machines using hybrid methods of forming the fabric. The classification is essentially based on the methods of inserting the frame into the crowd and on the methods of feeding the frame.
